Lisa and her pup

Hi, I'm Lisa. It's Good to Have You Here.

If you've made it to this page, something brought you here, and I'm glad you came.

I'm Lisa, a licensed therapist in Bozeman. The simplest way I can describe myself is endlessly curious about people. How we're built, why we do the things we do, how we come undone, and how we heal. That curiosity is not clinical for me. It's genuine. I find people fascinating, and I find the ones who make it to my office especially so, because reaching out for help takes more courage than most people give themselves credit for.

My own life is what pulled me into this work. I know from the inside what it is to carry things you can't quite explain, and to want to understand yourself more honestly. That's part of why I won't sit across from you like a distant expert with all the answers. I come alongside you instead. We get curious together about what you're feeling and where it learned to live in you.

A lot of the people I work with are the capable ones. The person everyone leans on. Someone who has read the books, maybe done therapy before, and can explain exactly why they are the way they are, and still feels stuck underneath all that insight. I work with complex trauma and emotional neglect, attachment wounds, religious trauma, anxiety and depression, and the big transitions that reshape a life, including perimenopause and menopause. If you carry a quiet sense that you're somehow too much, or not quite enough, you are far from alone, and you are welcome here.

The way I work is warm, collaborative, and free of judgment. I'm trained in EFIT, IFS or parts work, and EMDR, which are just tools for going underneath the story to the places that actually hold the pain. Together we build understanding, safety, and the kind of steadiness that holds you from the inside out. It's slow, real work, for people who are ready to feel different.

I see clients in person here in Bozeman, and by telehealth across Montana and Utah. I work with adults, and right now I'm taking new clients.

If any of this feels like it's speaking to you, I'd love to hear from you. You don't have to have it all figured out to reach out. That's what the first conversation is for.

Come as you are. We'll take it from there.
